About Me
Shane Martin is a qualified building inspector with over 40 years’ experience in the building industry and specialises in pre-purchase building inspections across residential and small commercial properties. Having spent decades working in and around construction, he brings practical, real-world knowledge to every inspection — not just what’s written in a textbook.
Pre-purchase inspections are the core of Shane’s business; however he also carries out new build stage inspections, including pre-handover and practical completion inspections for residential homes and small commercial properties. Pest and termite inspections can also be organised where required.
Shane is fully licensed and insured, and his inspections are carried out in accordance with relevant Australian Standards AS43491-2007 and accepted building practices. Shane takes a thorough and independent approach, identifying defects and issues that matter, while explaining them in plain, easy-to-understand language.
